Meave G. O’Marah

The Owner’s Representative was founded in 2000 by Meave O’Marah to fill a void in the financial services sector: interim and part-time CFO consulting to start-up businesses, small companies and non-profits organizations. The Owner’s Representative has expanded to consult in operational areas well, with a specialization in turnarounds and clean-up situations. Ms. O’Marah has experience in the private and public sectors in fiscal policy, budgeting, start-up activities, accounting systems design, and client management. Ms. O’Marah has worked in politics and public policy in London, New York City, and Massachusetts, covering topics ranging from education to administration and finance. She helped launch one of the nation’s largest venture-backed education management companies and functioned as the Vice-President for Strategic Planning and the Director of Finance. She helped to open sixteen 40,000 square foot, K-5, public school facilities in three years. Ms. O’Marah is a graduate of Milton Academy, Harvard College, and Oxford University and received her MBA in Entrepreneurship at Babson College.

Matt Sokolowski

Mr. Sokolowski joined The Owner’s Representative in 2005 with the opening of the Washington, DC office. Mr. Sokolowski brings experience in the non-profit sector including work with museums and education groups. Mr. Sokolowski has served as the Director of Finance with several federally funded organizations, designing and implementing financial and operational systems. Mr. Sokolowski has also overseen several construction projects for his clients including the restoration and renovation of a prominent National Historic Landmark site. Mr. Sokolowski served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Benin, West Africa. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from The George Washington University.

Missy S. Toms

Missy joined The Owner’s Representative in 2011 to bring to the company her more than 20 years’ experience in non-profit management: marketing, development, board governance, program development, volunteer management, and communications. She has working for several organizations in Washington, DC and Cleveland, including museums, professional associations, a national speaker forum, an arts education center, and a professional theater. Missy has extensive experience in brand identification/management, community partnership building, strategic and long-range planning, and special events coordination, and has overseen the implementation of several databases and website redesigns. She is a member of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2008, a yearlong leadership program. Missy received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from The George Washington University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
